Portrait of Betye Saar, an African-American artist born in 1926 known as a visual storyteller and an accomplished printmaker. Her prints are notably concerned with spirituality and cosmology. She was also a part of the Black Arts Movement in the 1970s, which engaged myths and stereotypes about race and femininity.
